A congress level bridge player, who has lost the use of her legs, is looking for some good bridge competition. She is located in an aged care facility on the lower northern beaches and is comfortable with playing bridge online at Bridge Base Online.
We are looking for one or both of the following:
- A small number of bridge players who would be able to trial playing face to face with her at her (lovely) facility every now and again, and/or
- One or two bridge players who are happy to trial being her online partner on BBO.
The committee asks, in the best interests of all members of the club, that members do not attend the club when they are ill and contagious. We want to minimize the risk of others catching the flu and other diseases via coughs, sneezes and through touching the cards and boards that others will also touch.
All members are encouraged to wash their hands and do whatever they can to minimise these risks.
And if you are ill and miserable at home, do ensure that your bridge friends know so that they can keep in contact.

More than 20 Peninsula players journeyed to Coffs Harbour in early August to challenge bridge players from across Australia in the 2017 Coffs Coast Gold Congress. The event again filled very quickly and those fortunate to attend experienced superb weather, a great venue, a well-organised event, and some tough bridge.
Peninsula's success was far more solid in the restricted categories than in the open fields but we managed to appear in the prize lists in most categories. You can check the full results - on the events results cover page you will notice Peter Clarke and Hans van Weeren are featured as the best pair below 300MP in the Swiss Pairs event.
