We have been advised by her family the sad news that long time member Jutta Gradwell passed away peacefully on Sunday 8 August. Jutta has been a much-loved member since joining in 1986, and was a Committee member for several years. Her bright personality will be missed.
Due to COVID and the lockdown, there will not be a funeral service, but the family plans to celebrate her life with a little ceremony as soon as the restrictions lift. Anybody that is interested in attending should contact family member, Eveline Schuijff, on
Long term club member Linda Abbenbroek passed away recently. Please read on for a tribute by Jan MacLennan. (They won the Club Pairs championship in 2020).
I note with sadness the passing of long term member Ada Duignan yesterday, on Sunday 24 May 2020.
Ada has been a member for more than 25 years, and in that time has held positions of President and Vice President, and has supported the club as director and teacher. She was recognised for her contributions by being awarded Life Membership of the club. She will be missed by many good friends at the bridge club.
